Unlike a conventional data center that concentrates enormous computing capacity in one location, distributed micro data centers can be installed across smaller sites and connected to create a larger network.
This approach places computing capacity closer to the businesses, institutions, and communities using it while allowing infrastructure to be added incrementally as demand grows.

The platform is being developed to integrate high-performance construction, solar power, battery storage, advanced cooling, and potential waste-heat reuse. These systems could reduce land requirements, grid demand, cooling energy, water consumption, and deployment time compared with conventional data center expansion.
